Drop Arm Gatepatent pending
The Crisp Drop Arm Gate is a robust and highly effective
improvement on the traditional drop arm gate design. All
the important features of the traditional design have
been retained and upgraded to DOS crash standards.
It functions like the typical drop arm gate but because
of its heavy duty construction and use of high quality
parts it provides the ultimate in drop arm gate protection.
The Crisp Drop Arm Gate can be custom designed
to provide the desired length and crash rating. Constructed
of galvanized steel they are available in a
variety of finishes including powder coating. The unique
fully vertical position (90° up) to allow for unobstructed use of the
roadway and safe positioning of the arm. The Crisp design
includes a device for positively locking the arm in the down
position. It also features a totally passive mechanical safety
latching mechanism that engages on vehicle impact. If manually
operated the counterweights can be adjusted to require minimal
force for raising and lowering. Powered models are driven by a
highly reliable hydraulic operator.
The Crisp Drop Arm Gate can replace any existing drop arm gate
or can be installed in new construction where a DOS crash rating
is required. The prominence of the Crisp Drop Arm Gate is a
visible deterrent to intrusion and it is ideally suited for
locations where the protection of roadway entrances is essential.
They are suited for occasional or frequent use and may be
operated in the parade or single vehicle mode. The Crisp Drop
Arm Gate is also ideally suited for remote areas where the
positive locking device allows the beam to be locked in the down
position and left unattended.
The Crisp Drop Arm Gates are delivered essentially fully
assembled. Installation involves minimal excavation and the
placement of reinforced concrete. No welding is required for
assembly in the field. Bolted connections make field assembly
very straight forward and each unit comes with complete
assembly instructions. Electrical connections have been
minimized and are required for the operator housing only.
